This research seeks to understand and identify the influential factors linked to sustainability which could significantly encourage female students to choose engineering as a profession. By filling in this questionnaire, you will help us find ways of widening access to engineering education and practice for female participants, improve their perception of engineering, and attract a wider range of applicants to the profession.
If you agree to take part, please answer all the questions to the best of your ability. There are no right or wrong answers. Please also note the following:
- You must be 15 years or older to participate
- Participation is voluntary and you may withdraw by informing me within two weeks of completing the survey
- Please note that after reading the information sheet, your participation in this survey signifies your consent
- Participation will NOT affect your grades in any course you are currently undertaking
- The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete
- You will be asked for your contact information (email) in case we need to follow up on some of your survey questions. This information is voluntary and will not be shared with any third party, and will be destroyed after the study is completed.
- This study has been reviewed by the University of Portsmouth Faculty Ethics Committee and been given a favourable ethical opinion.
